For example, A♥ 2♣ 3♦ 4♠ would be the lowest possible Badugi. A hand with a pair or second card of the same suit, such as A♥ 2♣ 3♦ 7♣ or 6♥ 7♣ 8♦ 8♠, would only qualify as a three-card Badugi. Either of these hands would lose to a completed four-card Badugi. And that’s what can be frustrating.
