It can consist of nearly 100 different entrants and can payout and buy-in at many different levels.
- How to win Super Bowl Betting Squares You can have a different winner at the end of each of the quarters and at the end of the game itself. If you do it this way, just divide up the pool so that the winner at the end of the first quarter gets 20%, the same for the winner at halftime and at the end of the third quarter.
- Super Bowl squares, also known as football squares, have become a staple of Super Bowl parties everywhere — a cheap, easy way for guests to bet on the outcome of the game.
- How to draw numbers for squares You should designate a person to hold a drawing to randomly place numbers 0-9 across the Chiefs row and the 49ers column. Use Post-It notes in a hat or an online.
The premise is simple: Bettors fill out a grid of numbers and whoever has the numbers that match the score at the end of each quarter wins a prize. Those with the correct numbers at the end of the game usually win a large prize or the jackpot.
The grid is set up in a 10×10 format. Typically, entrants fill out their initials or names in the squares randomly before the numbers are assigned.
Each entrant can buy a square and write their name in it for a fee. This can be anywhere from $5 to $100 a square.
After all the squares are full, the numbers 0-9 are randomly written across the top and down the side of the board, forming a grid.
Now, the game begins. At the end of each quarter, the final number in the score of each team is recorded.
Say the score at the end of the first quarter was 14-3 in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs. That means whoever has the square that lines up with 4 for the Chiefs and 3 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would win the first quarter prize.
This continues between each quarter, with usually a larger prize for halftime and then the end of the game.
Super Bowl squares is such a fun and popular way to bet on the big game due to the seemingly random nature that it is played. The board can be created with tons of stipulations and doesn’t require much effort to monitor.
This Super Bowl, consider setting up a board of Super Bowl squares to get everyone involved in the action.

What Is A Squares Game?
Squares (also known as Super Bowl Squares) is a type of game in which each participant chooses squares on a grid. The higher the value of each square and the more squares on the grid, the higher the overall possible win. Squares games are similar to fantasy football in that you’re making a selection (in this case it’s random) and hoping for a specific outcome.
Once all the squares are claimed, numbers (0-9) are randomly generated to represent points scored by the two corresponding teams. For Super Bowl LV, points for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are listed down the left side of the grid while points for the Kansas City Chiefs are listed across the top.

Those numbers represent the last digit of the team’s score too. So 3 would apply to the team having 3 points, 13 points, 23 points, and so on.
If your box lines up with the scoreline of both teams, you win.

Quarters
The simplest (and most common) structure for a squares game is quarters. At the end of each quarter of the game, the score determines the four different ways to win. Usually the final score of the game (as opposed to the score after each quarter) is the biggest winner.
For example, if you have 0 for Tampa Bay and 7 for Kansas City and the first quarter ends with a matching scoreline, you would win for that quarter. However, if the quarter ended and Kansas City has 0 while Tampa Bay has 7, you would not win.
Why Use A Squares Game?
A squares game is an incredibly approachable way to get invested in the Super Bowl, because the outcome is based on pure luck. You could know nothing about the game, and your chances of winning are just as high as anyone else’s.
Of course, the more squares you own, the higher your likelihood for a win. But you have no control over what numbers you receive. That means you’re simply making your selection and hoping for the best.
At Gaming Today, our squares game generator and tracker allows you and all participants to quickly and easily set up your Super Bowl Squares. Everyone will be able to check how they’re doing as the game progresses in real-time as well.

Plus, you can easily set up more unique grid structures, such as 50 or 25 squares where each box receives more than one number for a higher likelihood of winning.
